Art Therapy For Your Church
Would you like to try Jesus-centered art therapy in your church community?
Hi there,
As an artist who loves Jesus, I’m passionate about creating spaces where people can connect with God through art. My heart is to encourage anyone curious about or following Jesus to explore creative ways of connecting with and experiencing Him. When we work together, my goal is to shape the art therapy services I offer so they support and align with what the Holy Spirit is already doing within your community.

Here are a few ways I can bring art therapy to your community
Pre-Designed Groups & Programs
These are art groups I’ve already designed, with a set theme and duration, making them easy to host at your church whenever it suits your community. Each group focuses on helping people explore creative ways to connect with God through art.
There is space for participants to share about their experiences and personal reflections in a group setting. Because of the group format, we don’t go deeply into each person’s artwork. The group offers a supportive space to gently explore what may be happening in the group members’ lives.

Deeper: Connect with God Through Art
Deeper is a 4-week art group designed to help participants connect with Jesus through art, meditation, and reflection. Throughout the series, I introduce simple, meaningful ways to connect with God through creativity.
Your community can choose to run one group or host multiple groups at different times throughout the year. I also offer one free promotional session for each group so people can experience the format before committing to the full series.
Deeper 1: Connect with God Through Art & Individual Spiritual Practices
Week 1 – Meditation – Visio Divina
Week 2 – Solitude
Week 3 – Prayer Through Art
Week 4 – Worship Music and Art
Deeper 2: Connect with God Through Art & Spiritual Practices in Community

Deeper 3: Furthering Relationship with God Through Art and Perspectives

Week 3 – How does God see you?
Week 4 – Seeing New
Each group runs weekly for 4 weeks at a time.
Sessions are 1.5 hours long.
Can be hosted In-person or online.
Visio Divina: Making Art Based on the Meditation of Scripture
Visio Divina is an art group designed to help people connect with God through creative expression and meditation on Scripture.
In this practice, I read the selected Scripture aloud three times. Participants are encouraged to listen for what God may be speaking to them and respond through art. Sharing about the artwork is optional and offered as a way to reflect together in community.
1 hour duration.
1 free introductory session is included.
This group can run for one session, for a few weeks, or continue throughout the year.

In-person Calgary Groups
Alternatively, you can recommend your community attend groups I am already hosting in-person in Calgary. Check out my groups page for more information.
Other Types of Groups

Retreats
I’m also available to join your retreat and offer one or more art therapy sessions. These can be tailored to the theme and focus of your retreat, or you can choose from one of the pre-made group sessions listed above.
The price for my services would range from $150–$250, depending on the length and format of the group.
Outreach Groups
This program is designed to invite your neighborhood or wider community into your church through art therapy groups. Art provides a natural way for people to gather around a table and create together or alongside one another. The process of making art can ease the pressure some people feel around conversation, making it easier to connect in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.
Open and drop-in studios are flexible and can run weekly for as long as you’d like. They’re open to anyone, and participants can come and go as needed, making it easy to welcome a wide variety of people.

Children’s Drop-In Art Group
An example could be to host a Children’s Drop-In Art Group where children in and around the community can come and make art to connect with each other, express themselves and connect to God.

Custom Groups
Together, we can create a group or program that fits the needs of your community.
We would start by meeting to talk about your goals and what your community might benefit from. From there, I would develop a general plan for an art group based on our conversation. We would review it together and adjust anything until it feels like a good fit for your community.
Group Sizes
2 people minimum and 12 maximum.
If there is a lot of interest in a group we can offer another group time so that more people can come.
If only one person registers for an in-person group we will either cancel or they can have the option of having a one-to-one/individual session but at the price of an individual session.
Art Therapy for Individuals
If you have individuals in your community interested in receiving art therapy they can work with me online and can check out this page. If they would like to meet in-person I can come to do therapy with them in your building.
